Hazy Days

The weather here on The Farm is still quite warm. Lots of local farmers (ourselves included) have started burning off because it is what we call "permit" season.  This means you can burn but only under certain conditions and if the Shire has given you an approved permit.

The combination of warm still evenings and smoke hazes has resulted in some spectacular looking sunsets recently.  The light seems to be increased in intensity.  Here is a photo I took on Monday evening.

Sun On The Stubble
I hope everyone had a lovely Wednesday.  Take care.

That is a lovely shot. I love the way the big trees almost frame it. Nice work Farmer's Wifey :)

Lovely. My Dad loves it when he's able to start burning off.

Sun on the Stubble...that sounds like a Colin Thiele book I read as child...

Thanks everyone - I must admit to quite liking it when we burn off. The smell of smoke is something I associate with autumn...

Andrea - so glad someone picked up the Colin Thiele reference. I still have a copy of Sun On The Stubble. It describes our landscape so well.

Beautiful. And, oddly, I feel like the fact you are going into autumn confirms that eventually we will see spring here.
