I'm Ba-a-ack...

Hello everyone.  Here I am again, back in the blogosphere.  I have had a crazy time since I last blogged.  After pondering on how to fill everyone in on my week, I decided to write an essay.  Yep, an essay!  Like you did at school with headings and everything.  Feel free to grade my essay attempt at the end.

1.  My Birthday

Yes kids, I had a birthday. I don't normally make a huge fuss of my birthday.  This year, The Farmer and one of my closest friends decided to do it for me.  They arranged a surprise dinner with some of our friends.  I thought it was just The Farmer and I. When we arrived at the restaurant there was a group of my friends, all ready to party!  Luckily I had worn my new jumpsuit...

We all had a fantastic night and drank lots of lovely champagne.

A breakfast down at Matilda Bay was also arranged with The Farmchildren.  Such a gorgeous morning.

A special big thanks to The Farmer and my beautiful friend T for arranging my special birthday dinner...

2.  The Farmer And I Went To Victoria

We had a super quick trip across to Victoria to stay with some friends and business colleagues on their farm.  It was wonderful, but the next time I go, I am going to persuade The Farmer that allowing a day in Melbourne to shop would not be that risky.  He was so frightened for our Visa Card that he arranged for the hire car to be picked up from the airport upon our arrival... It was straight back to the country for this Farmer's Wife.  Do Not Pass Chapel Street.  Definitely Do Not Spend $200.

3.  The New Farm Settled.

We now officially own The New House (and surrounding paddocks!).  I have been over there twice and I love The New House more and more each time.

There is lots to do in the garden and so Farmgirl and I went to Bunnings and bought wheel barrows in appropriate sizes for each member of the family.  We believe in child labour on The Farm!

4. The Farmer And I Saw Tim Minchin Live In King's Park.

The Farmer gave me tickets to see Tim Minchin in King's Park.  Tim was playing with The Western Australian Symphony Orchestra.  It was brilliant.  I know Tim isn't to everyone's taste but I think he is bloody hilarious.

Tim Minchin is a Perth boy.  Years ago (like almost twenty) Tim and I used to hang out in the same group of friends.  We all went to the sort of parties where you stood around on someone's parents spongy buffalo lawn and drank whatever cheap alcohol you could get your hands on.  Over the years we lost contact.  He was bright and talented way back then, and he still is.  You seriously rocked, Tim!  And it was wonderful to see how successful you are now...

So there we go - that's my essay about what I did on my bloggy break.  I hope everyone had a great week.  Take good care all.

PS - Sorry some of the photos are a bit average, I kept forgetting my camera and resorting to my iPhone.

Nice to see you back again, the photos of your new house look great- very impressive hallway arches by the way. Is it an old house? If not it certainly has some lovely features. Can't wait for a grand tour.
