It's War In The Pantry

I accept that fact that living in the country means a fairly large range of creepy crawlies. But I hate mice, loathe them in fact.

And they have taken up residence in my pantry.  Ugh and double ugh.

The Farmhouse Pantry

So now it is WAR.  I am putting you on notice little mice.  I am armed. And I am dangerous.

Mouse Trap - I Have Lots Of These

Go ahead - Make My Day.

I have them in my ceiling too!
They are loathsome little creatures, and I too will be seeking revenge.
Good Luck!

We had a resident mousie last year- christened him Elvis as he left the building so many times. After throwing him over the fence a few times (I am a sookie la-la) we figured that he was either coming back or there were more than just one Elvis - so we had to bite the bullet and lay traps. Good luck.

Not going to complain about my ants anymore because mice freak me out even more.

Good luck, Warrior AFW!

Amy - 20 in your car???!!! UGH...
Sorry they are in your pantry FW - they give me the creeps. One kept coming into my BEDROOM when I lived in UK - scratching under the floorboards. FIrst I used a 'humane' trap and then realeased each mouse a few fields away.. Trouble is I think they had a homing device and returned - loads of times... In the end I resorted to the mouse trap (real) and the catcher !! Good luck and conquer!! XX

Amy - I have to ask - "How the hell do they get in your car????" I hope they don't sneak off somewhere and die and then stink for weeks in the car....

Thanks everyone - I will keep you posted on how I go. (Also - most farmhouses have big pantries. I did laugh when I first moved to this house as my pantry was bigger than the kitchen I had in my city flat.)

Hasta La Vista Mousies.

Amy - just read your comment again - Did you run them over? Is that what you meant?...

Urrrrgh, those horrid little critters appear and disappear all year round in our house too. There is nothing more disturbing then finding a random mouse pooh on your living room floor, or on the television cabinet.... makes you shudder to think of everything they've been crawling over! Thank goodness I bought toys tubs with lids!

I hate mice too - after 2 weeks away in January I came hoome to discover they had taken over the cupboard under the kitchen sink which holds all the Tupperware and baking trays etc. It took me a week to put everything through the dishwasher and get the cupboard cleaned and disinfected!! Good luck! Show no mercy!!!!!
