Misty Morning

It is supposed to be autumn here on The Farm but so far the days are still in the mid to high 30s celsius.  The nights have finally started to cool down though and the mornings are lovely.

Yesterday morning I got up to find there was a blanket of mist on the big hill behind The Farmhouse.

Mist On The Hill

For the first time in ages it looked a tiny bit wintery.  Or at least autumnal...

Looking West, 6.10am

Looking East, Sunrise

This seems to have been a very long summer.  I am hoping it cools down soon.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend.

Well I think you got all of our summer. We skipped it this year. I think we had one or maybe two days that reached 30. The grass didn't even turn brown. Enjoy the coming coolness :)

19 degrees and sunny here today, autumn has definitely arrived after a summer which never showed up! Our mornings have definitely cooled down and the nights are quite cold - time to bring out the blankets!

Beautiful photos, you don't even need the hipstamatic for these ones. We are just rain and rain at the moment but the warm pj's did make a brief appearance for the kids last night.

Oh I'm hearing you loud and clear! I so wish this summer would clear off and let autumn take it's place. I hate this persistent heat, and like you was very excited to see some mist this morning and feel the cool breeze. How sad the scorching temps are set to return.

What stunning photos. Such a lovely view to wake up to each day. I'm eagerly awaiting winter as well - I love the cooler weather and dressing up in boots and scarves. Ange
