A New Addition To The Farm Family.

Well - here I am.  Back for the first time in 2012.  Christmas and New Year were hectic but fun. Our harvest finally finished on the 30th December.  The last 5 hectares got rained on which The Farmer was fairly unimpressed about.  We got there in the end though.

I feel like the last few weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind with traveling to see family and friends and going between The Farm and The Beach.  We are back at The Farm for a few days at present.  The Farmer has a few meetings and I felt the need to be at home and in one place for a little while.

Our big news is that we have a new member of our family.  We picked this little guy up in Perth on Saturday.

Look -cute little puppy.

Super Cute

He is a miniature dachshund and his name is Herbie.  He is getting lots and lots of cuddles from The Farmchildren.  We already have a beautiful dog called Molly but she is more of an outside farm type dog.  Herbie is supposed to be more of a house dog.  I adore dachshunds and we have had them before.  Hopefully Herbie will enjoy being part of our family.  He is still at the crying at night stage but should settle down soon (fingers crossed).

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.  I will post again soon - just wanted to pop up a quick update and share the photos of Herbie The Wonder Puppy.

Take care

Oh just look at his adorable little face. Bet the farmchildren adore him :-) Happy 2012. I hope it's a good one for you. I believe I'm in your state at the moment. It's funny being on WA time when everyone in the east is sleeping.

I have always to have a dachshund just so I could call him Kransky. He is just so gorgeous. Good luck with getting through the night crying phase, luckily it is much shorter than with children!

He is so cute. When he cries at night how do you resist running to him?

Goodness, I'm so not a dog person, but he makes even me want one! I made sure my two didn't see the picture - a household full of dog-envy - noooo! SMM x

Hi Farmer's Wife. Thanks so much for your kind words. I really appreciate it. I think hubby is suffering more than he is letting on but is due for some counselling next week. I've had his Dad here too since my husband return Friday week ago. They've been in good spirits but I know they must be hurting. Thanks!

I just adore Herbie. Isn't he gorgeous. I love dachsunds too.

Herbie is so cute! We have a mini dacky too! Pippy :) They are such funny little animals arent they. We actually have the very tall and very short of the german dog breeds-a german short haired pointer 'Joe' and 'Pip' the mini dachshund!
