Driveways.

I love farm driveways.  Particularly the first time you go down one. It is like a little adventure and you are not sure what will be at the end.

Here is the driveway on The New Farm.

The New Driveway

It is not as formal as the driveway leading to our current house but I like it anyway!

Have a good Thursday everyone.

the difference in colour of the earth is striking. Lovely gum greeting along the sides.

Nice new driveway! I still remember when I first moved to the city at 18 that I had to train myself that every time I heard a car it wasn't a visitor coming down our drive, it was just a car driving down the street outside our house.

both driveways are beautiful, not sure which one I prefer. The canopy vs. the stoic straight path. I don't have a drive way :( unless you count the dumpster and the alley rats I get to deal with.

I love your blog...fresh air for these city lungs. :)

I am envious of your wide, long, straight and flat drive ways, AFW!

I love a good driveway. I stopped on my way home a few weeks back to take a photo of a driveway that was lined with Liquid Ambar's on both sides (in full Autumnal Colour) but chickened out cause I thought I may have been trespassing. My aim is to have a nice long driveway when we buy our first home. I love country life :)

a road less travelled? So far?

So far, Fancy, so far! Lots of traffic recently though as we renovate the house and start cropping the paddocks.

The new driveway looks uber glam, like something out of McLeod's daughters really. The old driveway is more Banjo Patterson. I used to covet Betsy's driveway before we lived here, a long expanse of concrete perfect for bikes and scooters. We have races most days myself included. Had a post brewing about driveway coveting, you have inspired me to share. melx

hello, thanks for your lovely comment :)
Wow, I love that feeling of space. One day I want a driveway rather than an A road outside my front door.
Guess you are moving? Hope it is going smoothly.

I love farm driveways too! I saw a stunner recently on our trip to Albany. Our Farm driveway is a WIP!

I have just happened upon your lovely blog with snippets of your life living in rural WA - Oh! to have the peace and serenity of that long drive-way - now door-knockers interupting your day!
