Lemon Butter, Cupcakes and Succulents

Yesterday was a day of much excitement for The Farmchildren.  It was the long awaited school fete.  What can I say?  It had a bouncy castle, it had Bertie Beetle showbags and it had lots of other fete type things.  My favourite part of the school fete is always the cake stall.  This year it was a  particularly good one.  I bought this yummy lemon butter.

I am trying to not eat too much straight out of the tub with a spoon.  It has proved to be an excellent crutch though, as I deal with the post traumatic stress type symptoms I am suffering after Friday evening and the Makeup Incident.  The ongoing cleaning sequelae are also an issue.  I even got out Shannon Lush and she said go straight to the drycleaning fluid.  This means the situation is Serious.  There was no suggestion of any vinegar/bicarb palaver whatsoever.

A beautiful passionfruit cake was purchased as well.  It is very yummy but I can't take a photo.  This is not due to me having eaten it all.  It is a direct result of Farmgirl having accidentally trodden on it.  The cake is no longer photogenic.

I bought this very stylish succulent too.  I have already mentioned my strong inner Nanna.  Particularly in the garden.  This makes me very partial to the odd succulent.

I have also spent some valuable time cruising the blogosphere, looking for blogs I especially like, to pass on my pretty cupcake award.

I have found two.  The first is This Mid 30's Life.  I really like her blog but what especially got me was the fact that she has a pool room.  Yes, a pool room.  I love "The Castle"  It is in my top 3 movies of all time.  Having a pool room means an award as far as I am concerned.  She also has a very glamorous looking cupcake on her current post.  To me this was a signal from the Blogging Gods that it was meant to be.

The other is Glowless over at Where's My Glow.  Quite simply because she is absolutely hilarious.

Ladies if you would like to see the gorgeous award and its rules click here.

Anyway - I hope everyone is enjoying their Sundays.  Take care.

Thanks so much Farmer's Wife! *Takes a bow*

I keep looking at your photos trying to figure out which part of the state you're in :) Map Guy heralds from the country, but alas, is no Farmer.

Thank you Farmers Wife, that is very kind and I appreciate it. Needless to say, it's gone straight to the pool room.

May your TV have kickboxing 24 hours a day.
